Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing Policy

HOIL DENTAL MANUFACTURE SOLUTIONS LTD
Effective date: 1 July 2026
Review cycle: Annual

HOIL DENTAL MANUFACTURE SOLUTIONS LTD is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly and to reducing the risk of modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour and other forms of labour exploitation within our operations and supply chain.

Although we are not currently required to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we recognise the importance of responsible sourcing and maintaining appropriate controls across our business and supplier relationships.

Our Commitment

We do not knowingly tolerate:

  • forced, bonded or compulsory labour;
  • slavery, servitude or human trafficking;
  • unlawful child labour;
  • compulsory or forced overtime;
  • violence, threats, harassment, intimidation or coercion;
  • unlawful discrimination;
  • recruitment practices that require workers to pay recruitment fees as a condition of employment;
  • retention or confiscation of passports or original identity documents for the purpose of restricting a worker’s freedom;
  • exploitative recruitment practices or debt bondage;
  • withholding of wages as a means of control; or
  • other forms of serious labour exploitation.

Workers must be free to terminate their employment in accordance with applicable law and contractual notice requirements, move freely subject to lawful workplace requirements, and exercise freedom of association in accordance with applicable law.

We expect our suppliers and business partners to comply with applicable local and national employment, labour and human rights laws in the countries in which they operate.

Supplier Due Diligence

As part of our ISO 13485 Quality Management System, we maintain supplier approval, monitoring and review processes.

Where appropriate, supplier evaluation may consider:

  • supplier identity and location;
  • products and services supplied;
  • regulatory and quality status;
  • supplier performance;
  • country and sector risk;
  • ethical sourcing and labour considerations;
  • significant subcontracting arrangements; and
  • relevant manufacturing locations.

Where higher risks are identified, we may request further information, supporting evidence or corrective action.

Ethical Sourcing

We aim to work with suppliers and business partners that demonstrate responsible and lawful business practices.

Where proportionate, we may seek information relating to labour practices, recruitment arrangements, subcontracting, manufacturing locations and ethical sourcing controls.

Suppliers presenting a higher level of risk may be subject to additional review, monitoring or other proportionate requirements.

Reporting Concerns

Any employee, supplier or business partner who has concerns relating to modern slavery, human trafficking or unethical labour practices is encouraged to contact us.

Email: info@hoildental.com

Concerns raised in good faith will be treated seriously and reviewed appropriately. No person should suffer retaliation or adverse treatment for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

Incident Response and Corrective Action

Reports or credible concerns relating to modern slavery will be escalated to the General Manager or a Director and reviewed promptly.

Where appropriate, we may require suppliers to provide a documented corrective action plan and may take further action including enhanced monitoring, suspension of new orders, termination of the supplier relationship or notification to relevant authorities.

Responsible Purchasing and Review

We seek to avoid purchasing practices that may place unreasonable pressure on suppliers or contribute to poor labour practices.

Our modern slavery and ethical sourcing controls, including supplier risk assessment, due diligence, staff awareness and relevant KPIs, are reviewed periodically by senior management.

Communication and Awareness

This policy is made available to relevant employees and may also be communicated to suppliers and business partners where appropriate.

Employees involved in procurement, supplier management or recruitment are expected to understand the key principles of this policy and to raise any concerns identified in the course of their work.

Review

This policy is reviewed annually, or earlier where there are significant changes to our operations, supply chain, legal requirements or customer requirements.
